Victoria Pittman

Victoria supports the development and implementation of popular education programming and workshops such as Making Connections and the Summer Policy Institute. She manages BTC’s new and growing network of volunteers through the CIT Street Teams program. Trained in the art of relational organizing and movement building, Victoria seeks to identify and develop leaders across North Carolina to advocate for the economic well-being of their communities through strong participation in the policy process. Before joining the Budget & Tax Center as a Community Building Coordinator in September 2025, Victoria spent the summer of 2025 as the Community Building Intern at BTC. She got her start in community organizing as a student advocating for menstrual equity on NC State’s campus and spent five years with Planned Parenthood South Atlantic moving from student volunteer, to intern, and eventually became the Community Organizer for Eastern NC. Born in Pennsylvania and raised in Wilmington, NC from age 4, Victoria describes herself as a “first-generation Southerner” and deeply identifies with Eastern NC. In 2017, Victoria moved to Raleigh to attend North Carolina State University where she received Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Philosophy of Law. Through her studies, Victoria became deeply passionate about Southern History and the revolutionary energy that was born in the South and still remains to this day! Victoria loves supporting NC State athletics (Go Pack!), the Philadelphia Eagles (Go Birds!), and going on adventures with her Australian Shepherd, Ellie. Contact me about:
