Moriah coordinates campaigns and partner activities that mobilize people to advance policy change at the state and local level. She develops policy campaign plans, collaborates on implementation and programs, and sustains connections with partners throughout the policy process.
Before joining the Budget & Tax Center in 2023, Moriah served as the Community Engagement Specialist at NC Child, working with their Child Advocacy Network to advance policy change on issues impacting children and families in North Carolina.
Born and raised in High Point, NC, Moriah received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Elon University. Afterward, she returned to her hometown and began her journey in community organizing as Racial Justice Coordinator at YWCA of High Point. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, hiking, and thrifting/antiquing.
