Heba builds power for policy change by engaging people directly impacted by policy choices, designing sound policy in collaboration with colleagues and partners, mobilizing people to push for change, and building policy champions.
Heba held a variety of roles focused on ensuring people have full access to the expression of their rights under the law, and advocating for the expansion of services and programs that promote opportunity and dignity for all.
Heba has experience with indigent defense, public interest law, refugee resettlement, community development, social entrepreneurship, social impact measurement, and grant management.
Heba holds a Juris Doctor and MBA in policy and planning from the University of New Mexico where she grew up, and a degree in history from Tulane University in New Orleans, her original hometown after a two week stay in her birthplace of Knoxville, Tennessee.
Outside of work she enjoys learning new things, home improvement projects, and spending time with family.
