Dani Hoffpauir

Dani provides strategic guidance that builds power for policy change. She stewards the organization’s engagement, and in collaboration with colleagues across the organization, identifies and supports connections between policy advocacy, research and partnerships. In connecting more people to the policy process, she manages the Summer Policy Institute and Better NC Fellowship, . Before joining the Budget & Tax Center in 2023, Dani spent 8 years with Planned Parenthood South Atlantic leading their public policy and advocacy initiatives. In her final role with the org., she worked as the Patient Advocacy Program Manager to build a movement for health equity and reproductive freedom where people can advocate, take an active role in the overall health of themselves and their communities, and change the negative dominant narrative around reproductive health. Born and raised in Louisiana, Dani received a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications and Psychology from Louisiana Tech University. Dani currently serves on the Board of Directors at the Compass Center Outside of work, she enjoys reading, laughing and making other people laugh, gardening, making music with her band, and traveling back home to Louisiana to spend time on her family’s farm and eat the best food in the world.
