Before joining the Budget & Tax Center in 2026, Danie served as the Executive Director of WomenNC, a 501c3 nonprofit focused on advancing gender equity and youth leadership in North Carolina through research, policy, and civic engagement. Prior to WomenNC, she worked in the justice-impacted space, taught college courses at Lackawanna College, and has served as a social media manager for over a decade.
Danie was born and raised in Pennsylvania and relocated to North Carolina in 2019. An avid reader, Danie has over 700 books in her collection. She lives in Knightdale with her husband, two daughters, and son.
