Brianna Dean

Brianna works to develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy focusing on donor cultivation efforts, foundations, and special events. She maintains donor and financial information, develops appeals, and supports colleagues in building awareness of the organization’s mission by coordinating regional events. She also participates in activities that advance racial equity at the organization and advance BTC’s theory of change.   Before joining the Budget & Tax Center as Organizational Advancement Coordinator in 2024, Brianna was the Director of Administrative Services at the YMCA of the Triangle, where she managed the logistics, planning, and implementation of the regional annual campaign, supporting community programs, special events, and partnerships. Prior to that, Brianna spent time in strategic planning, leading workforce development programs with opportunity youth, and providing access to self-sufficiency in high-poverty, high-crime areas.   Brianna moved to the Triangle area in 2021 from upstate New York. She received a Master of Public Administration from Savannah State University and B.A. in Political Science from the University at Albany, SUNY. When she’s not working, Brianna enjoys live music, trying new restaurants, laughing, cooking, and talking with her family back home daily.   Contact me about:
