This year’s Economy for All event focused on the role of work and workers in building a more equitable economy in North Carolina — and on what it takes to create and sustain “good jobs” across our state.
We are honored that Darrick Hamilton, considered one of the nation’s foremost scholars, economists and public intellectuals, shared his vision for the economy that centers well-being over profits.
We also hosted a panel discussion on "Building an Economy for All: Insights & Ideas for Action from North Carolina Leaders", featuring:
- Braxton Winston II, President of North Carolina State AFL-CIO
- Stephanie Smith, North Carolina Organizing Manager with the National Domestic Workers Alliance
- Alexandra Sirota, Executive Director of NC Budget & Tax Center
2024's Economy for All event featured remarks by Dr. Tressie McMillan Cottom about Building a Better North Carolina.
2025's virtual Economy for All event featured remarks by Aisha Nyandoro, a leading voice in economic justice, dedicated to reshaping systems to center dignity, equity and community voice.
